Salzburg Grand City Tour
Enjoy the city of Salzburg Experience the magic of Mozart's city during this complete tour that allows you to enjoy the beauty of this Baroque jewel by both bus and foot! Beginning near the Palace of Mirabell (built in 1606 for the Archbishop Wolf Dietrich, today it is home to the office of the mayor and city) you will first see the Mozarteum (University of Music) one of the world's most prestigious music academies. You will also see the Marionette Theatre before arriving in Markart Square, the location of the Landestheatre (The Regional Theatre), Trinity Church (a baroque masterpiece from Fischer von Erlach) and Mozart's Wohnhaus (Mozart's Residence), where the composer lived for many years. As you cross over Salzach river (once a major transport route), enjoy a wonderful view of this magical city. Following the river along part of the old defenses, you will pass by the Law Courts before arriving at Hellbrunn Palace for a short photo stop. Built at the start of the 17th century, Hellbrunn Palace was designed by the great architect Santino Solari. It was used as a hunting lodge and weekend residence by Salzburg's Archbishops. On your return to the city center you will pass by Frohnburg Palace and Nonnberg Abbey (situated beneath Hohensalzburg Fortress) before entering the heart of the city through Siegmund's Gate. Once in the old city you will pass by the Festival Halls, Old University, Horse Pond, Getreidegasse and Blasius Church. Your bus tour ends in Mozart Square where one can see the Mozart statue, Cathedral, Old Residence of the Archbishops and Hohensalzburg Fortress. Then, be impressed as you admire all of the old city's most important sights during a walking tour where you will see the Mirabell Gardens, Getreidegasse with Mozart's Birthplace, University Square, Old Market, Residence Square with Residence Fountain, Mozart Square, Cathedral, St. Peter´s Cemetery and Kapitel Square at the foot of the Fortress Hohensalzburg.

Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
