Relive the true story of the von Trapp family as made famous by the movie "The Sound of Music." This unique excursion is a combination of historic Salzburg, the breathtaking Salzkammergut region and famous musical and cultural centers.

Afterwards enjoy a memorable evening of song and dance that promises to be fun for the whole family! The Sound of Salzburg includes not only cherished melodies from "The Sound of Music" but also music from the Salzburg Operetta. Performed in historical costumes, this operetta is a tribute to Mozart. Afterwards enjoy a performance of the "Trapp Family Folk Music Revival" with a unique introductory video, "Maria von Trapp - The True Story."

Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 888-827-7511. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

The Mirabell Gardens
Shown throughout the movie, this is where Maria and the children were seen dancing around the statue of Pegasus and throughout the gardens singing "do-re-mi."

The Gazebo/Hellbrunn Palace
Here Rolf and Liesl sang "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and Maria and the Baron sang "Something Good." This famous Gazebo is now located in the gardens of Hellbrunn Palace, a hunting palace built in the first half of the 17th century.

Palace of Leopoldskron
This historical 18th century palace and its grounds provided a backdrop to many of the scenes in the movie including the boating scene and the scene where the family drinks pink lemonade with Baroness Schröder.

Nonnberg Abbey
Founded in 714 this abbey was used both in the movie and real life by the von Trapp family. Seen throughout the movie, in the true story it was here that Maria and the Baron were married in 1927.

St. Gilgen/Lake Wolfgang
Featured in the opening sequence of the movie, this picturesque area includes the nearby village of St. Gilgen. The birthplace of Mozart's mother, it lies on the northwest side of Lake Wolfgang and is situated directly across from Schafberg Mountain which was also seen in the movie!

Church of Mondsee:
This historic church was the location of Maria and the Baron's wedding in the movie.
